#LIGHTtheWORLD: Day 7 in the Pacific

To support individuals and families going through tough times this Christmas season, many members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shared food yesterday, part of the ongoing #LIGHTtheWORLD Christmas initiative.

Latter-day Saints who work or serve as missionaries at the faith's Pacific Area Administration Office in Auckland, New Zealand had the opportunity to donate to the Salvation Army's Christmas food drive.

Last night, young adult members of the Church took meals to homeless individuals in downtown Auckland.

One participant posted on Instagram about the experience.

"Day 7: JESUS FED THE HUNGRY—Tonight, to feed the hungry, we brought some pizzas and came out to the city to look for some homeless people to share the pizza with. It was such a humbling experience to sit down and share pizza and conversation and give not just the gift of food but also the gift of time!"

These and other acts of service were inspired by the #LIGHTtheWORLD Christmas initiative's Day 7 emphasis which was titled, "Jesus fed the hungry and so can you."
