Tongan Latter-day Saints Help Cyclone Pam Victims

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tonga donated food items recently to assist those affected by Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu.

Church leader, President ‘Inoke Kupu, coordinated the packing and loading of the food into a container.

The container is filled with donated cassava and breadfruit, items that were urgently needed.

His Royal Highness, Prince Ata, attended a ceremony marking the closing of the first container being sent from Tonga to Vanuatu.

Church members from throughout the Pacific, who are familiar with disastrous storms, have found ways to share and help those in need.
