Leaders and members of several faith communities attended a memorial service for the Christchurch Mosque victims on Saturday 23 March in South Auckland.
Members of Parliament Louisa Wall, Judith Collins and Melissa Lee were among the guests.
Auckland City Councillor Daniel Newman and Manurewa Local Board Chair Angela Dalton were also present, along with several other government and faith representatives.
Mark Green, president of the Auckland New Zealand Redoubt Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was one of the guests at the service.
"We stand together as one people," President Green said.
"Kindness is a mark of faith," he continued. "We express our deepest sympathy. We support you. We love you. We're grateful to be part of you.
"There's more that we have in common than differences, and if we can latch on to that, those things that are in common, we can all benefit and grow as a nation."
