New Latter-day Saint Director for Temporal Affairs for Pacific Area

“The new Director for Temporal Affairs (DTA) for the Pacific Area, Terry Oakes was surprised and excited when he was told his new assignment was to be the DTA in the Pacific Area Office,” according to ‘Church News and Events’ on www.lds.org.

“Having served in the New Zealand South Mission from 1965 – 1967, Brother Oakes is familiar with our part of the world, and he said ‘This is a beautiful country, with wonderful people. I have a special feeling for New Zealand. I haven't travelled a lot in the Pacific, but I think there is a special spirit about the island people.’”
