Christchurch Latter-day Saint Leader Uses Social Media to Invite Members and Guests to Upcoming Conference

Every six months Latter-day Saints gather with those from nearby congregations for what is called "stake conference." Those attending these regional meetings learn more about the teachings of Jesus Christ and how to implement them in their lives, their families and communities.

As members of the Christchurch New Zealand Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints prepare for next month's stake conference, Jared Ormsby, president of the stake, recently said, “In these times, it is ever more important to spread the light of Jesus Christ to lift and encourage. We look forward to meeting with our members and friends every six months. Our hope is to increase the reach of our invitation so everyone can join us.”
