Members of the Auckland New Zealand Panmure Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered on Sunday June 3, to be taught in their bi-annual stake conference held at the Panmure Chapel in Auckland.
Presiding, speaking and ministering to members, friends and invited guest was Elder Robert J. Dudfield, Area Seventy for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mark D. Westerlund, president of the Panmure Stake conducted the meeting and was accompanied by his counsellors, William R. Gardner and Brian M. Stephens.
James A. Walker, President of the Auckland New Zealand Mission with his wife and companion, Harumi Walker, Selesi’utele T. Lavea, 2nd counsellor in the Hamilton New Zealand Temple Presidency with his wife and assistant matron, Camellia Lavea were also in attendance and were among the speakers.
Friends and invited guests who attended were Kereama Pene, Regional Apostle and his brother Joyal Pene, Spiritual Apostle for the Ratana Established Church of New Zealand.
Katrina Bungard, Deputy Chairperson, Howick Local Board, also attended the meeting.
The over-riding theme of the conference was ministering as the Saviour taught.
Each speaker in harmony encouraged those in attendance to reach out to friends and neighbours with love and attention to their needs.
Mormons believe that we "should love our neighbours as ourselves."
