Government Leader Thanks Church for Service to People of Fiji

“Service to mankind is service to God,” Fiji’s Assistant Minister for Health, Veena Bhatnagar, told members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Suva yesterday,” The Fiji Sun reported this week.

The article continues: “Ms Bhatnagar said the Church had extended its helping hand a lot in terms of humanitarian assistance, not only for the people of Fiji but globally as well.”

President of the Young Diabetes Association, Shivanjani, said of Mrs Bhatnagar, “She is known for her open mindedness and through her radio programs has raised awareness of common issues affecting Fijians, mainly non-communicable diseases and diabetes.”

Mrs Bhatnagar expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome extended to her and said,” The  ministry, together with the Church could help the people of Fiji stay healthy.”
