Latter-day Saint Apostle Visits South Pacific

Elder D. Todd Christofferson, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his wife Sister Katherine Christofferson, are visiting the South Pacific this week.

They will visit American Samoa, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

Elder and Sister Christofferson live in the United States but visit various parts of the world on assignments from the Church’s First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

Hosting the Christoffersons are Elder Kevin W. Pearson, Elder O. Vincent Haleck and Elder S. Gifford Nielsen, the Pacific Area Presidency of the Church based in Auckland, New Zealand.

While in the South Pacific, the visiting leaders are meeting with members, missionaries and guests of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as well as media representatives.

Elder D. Todd Christofferson was called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 5 April 2008.
