Church Prepares to Open Third Mission in New Zealand
News Release — 17 May 2013For many years The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has operated two missions in New Zealand. Those missions have basically divided the country north and south, with headquarters in Auckland and Wellington. As of 1 July, a third mission for the Church will exist in New Zealand. Headquartered in Hamilton and called the New Zealand Hamilton Mission, it will cover 10 stakes and one district of the Church across the middle of the nation’s North Island.

Church Joins Samoan Council of Churches
News Release — 7 May 2013The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined Samoa’s Council of Churches at the Council’s annual general meeting on 19 April. Secretary of the Council of Churches, Rev. Maauga Motu, told reporters after the meeting: “It is a great joy to leaders of the Council of Churches to accept these fellow brethren to work together within the witness ministry through the message of the Gospel.”
