    Hawke's Bay Interfaith Meeting Invites Prayerful and Thoughtful Care of Environment

    The Week of Prayer for World Peace effort, originating in Great Britain, was supported in New Zealand on 11 October.

    Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Napier hosted an interfaith activity that made it possible for people of many faiths to get acquainted and share faith-based perspectives regarding environmental stewardship.

        The theme for the day was conservation of wildlife and the natural world.

        “We think this is the first time in the history of Napier that we have had so many different faiths visit at one time," said Paul McKee, a local Latter-day Saint leader.

        "It has been a wonderful evening."
