Missionary Experiences and Solid Principles Shape Success

Business leader, Peter Meurs, talks about faith, family, service and success

Peter Meurs is Director of Development and a board member at Fortescue Metals Group in Western Australia. Prior to his current position he worked in a number of roles with WorleyParsons Limited, including as its Managing Director Australia and New Zealand.

Recently Mr Meurs was interviewed by Mr Doug Aberle for Engineers Australia – Centre for Leadership and Management as part of its Engineering Frontiers conversations with engineering leaders.  

According to Engineers Australia – Centre for Leadership and Management, “These events are aimed at offering development opportunities for emerging and current engineering leaders.”

Mr Meurs, who is also a member of and Pacific Area Seventy (i.e. lay leader) in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, speaks in the interview about lessons learned in his career, and also as a young missionary in New Zealand.
