A group of women from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the South Auckland area were among the guests who welcomed visitors from the United States this week at a "meet and mingle" open house.
The visitors, Sister Ruth Renlund, Sister Diane Hallstrom and Sister Valérie Caussé, are in the South Pacific this week with their husbands—Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Elder Donald L. Hallstrom of the Presidency of the Seventy, and Bishop Gérald Caussé, presiding bishop of the Church.
The local women responded overwhelmingly to the opportunity to take part in the gathering at the Church's Redoubt Road, Manukau meetinghouse. Many of the women brought along neighbours and friends.
The visiting Latter-day Saint women expressed appreciation and love to the Latter-day Saint women in attendance, and the people of the South Pacific.
