This Saturday, Samoan Latter-day Saints and their guests living in Auckland will have the opportunity to view a special exhibit on the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Samoan Islands.
On 21 June, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host the exhibit depicting Church history in Samoa and American Samoa during the 19th and 20th centuries. The event is being held at 15 Rowandale Road, Manurewa, Auckland, beginning at 6pm.
Visitors will enjoy displays, illustrated stories of faith, and a 25 minute Church history film. Materials will be in both English and Samoan.
Two years ago, the exhibit travelled extensively throughout Samoa and American Samoa. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to connect with their past with over 6,000 people attending.

Church teachings place strong emphasis on the importance of family relationships, including a focus on genealogy. Church leader Henry B. Eyring teaches “…as we remember our past and keep personal and family histories, we will receive important blessings …”
