Pacific Area Presidency Looks to 2016

Leaders share vision to strengthen families and individuals by increasing faith and trust in Heavenly Father and in Jesus Christ and His Atonement

This week in a new video the Pacific Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shared the Church's vision for the Pacific Area in 2016.

The Pacific Area Presidency comprises Elder Kevin W. Pearson, Elder O. Vincent Haleck and Elder S. Gifford Nielsen.

In the video the leaders discuss the Church's vision for the Pacific Area for 2016, which is: "To strengthen families and individuals by increasing faith and trust in Heavenly Father and in Jesus Christ and His Atonement."

In order to achieve this vision, the leaders say, Church leaders in stakes and wards (congregations) as well as families and individuals need to focus on four goals:

1. Honour the Sabbath day at home and at church.

2. Increase spiritual and temporal self-reliance.

3. Hasten the work of salvation.

4. Seek the blessings of the temple.
