Pacific Area Presidency Conveys Christmas Greetings

The Pacific Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shared the following Christmas message this month.

President Thomas S. Monson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has set a standard for each of us as he takes time during the Christmas season to read the biblical account of that first Christmas recorded in The Gospel of Luke, Chapter Two. It enlightens and enriches all concerning the events leading up to our Father in Heaven’s marvellous and miraculous gift to the world, the birth of His Son, even Jesus the Christ.

In a prayer given at Christmastime, Elder Neal A. Maxwell of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, spoke these words:

“May each of us as we remember the manger of old, also remember that each of us is an inn keeper who decides if there is room for Jesus in our lives.”

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we extend to everyone our appreciation for your daily giving, which in a real sense, is the Spirit of Christmas.  Such examples and devotion to those around us help each to become better people, not only in December, but throughout the years to come.

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

Most Sincerely,

Elder James J. Hamula

Elder Kevin W. Pearson

Elder F. Michael Watson
