Raymond Rakete and Sally Pope-Martin recently danced before a group of Maori wardens, their families and friends in Kaikohe, New Zealand.
The two youth, from the Kaikohe Second Ward (congregation) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, were part of the entertainment on the night.
The event, which took place on Friday 26 October 2012, was organized to thank Maori wardens in the region, who provide supervision and support in the streets of many New Zealand towns and cities.

Latter-day Saint youth throughout New Zealand and worldwide regularly take part in community service activities such as this one.
A Mormon resource for youth, a booklet titled ‘For the Strength of Youth,’ states that “Service to others is an important characteristic of a disciple of Jesus Christ.”
Last month Gisborne Mayor Meng Foon praised Mormon youth in his area for their character and contributions.
