Mormon Paralympians Win Gold

“Australia's Todd Hodgetts won gold in the F20 shot put, throwing for a world record 16.29 metres to finish way clear of the field,” according to ABC Online.

The article continues:  “The Tasmanian twice threw over 16 metres and four times managed a further distance than silver medallist Jeffrey Ige of Sweden's 15.50.”

Hodgetts is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Tasmania, Australia.

Another paralympian who is also a Latter-day Saint, Northern Ireland’s Jason Smyth, won both the T13 Men’s 100m and 200m finals.  He broke his own world record in the 200m final.
