French Polynesian Latter-day Saints Welcome Visiting Church Leaders

Speaking to youth and young adults at a special devotional last weekend, Elder Lynn G. Robbins, a member of the Presidency of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, taught it is easier to avoid temptation than to try to resist it.

Elder Robbins advised the young people to stay focused on setting goals and making good choices because those choices will determine future success and happiness.

Special guests and dignitaries attended the devotional held at the Church’s Fariipiti meetinghouse in Papeete, Tahiti on Saturday, 22 August.

Elder Robbins and his wife, Sister Jan Robbins, were visiting French Polynesia last week with Elder Kevin W. Pearson, president of the Church’s Pacific Area, and his wife, Sister June Pearson.

In his remarks, Elder Pearson counselled the young people to choose and associate with friends who will support them in their desire to live their lives following the teachings of Jesus Christ.
